How are we as an employer? We’ll let people who work for us every day answer this question: Committed men and women all of whom are at pains to ensure that our family-managed milling Group is not only the longest established company in the foodstuffs supply chain but also the one which is most supportive to its employees.

A prophet is not valued in his own country? Certainly not the case at the Bindewald & Gutting Milling Group. My career took a quite different course. Not everyone can say that they built a mill. I built several. OK, you could say I was born into the milling business. I did work in my parents’ mill for a while. As a result of my experience in management accounting which I also gained early on when I was a student trainee at Plange while studying for my master’s degree, many new doors are opening for me in the company. I am now a Key Account Manager with personal responsibility for international global players; I manage IT projects, am involved in process optimisation in the supply chain field – there are more than enough projects. Anyone contributing the necessary flexibility will not only extend his or her own horizon but will be given completely new areas of responsibility. That is the advantage of working for a medium-sized company.

I have worked at Plange for more than 20 years. After training in industrial commercial management I moved into a permanent job in our logistics team as a scheduler. When our Logistics Manager retired after 40 years’ service I grasped the opportunity and took over his position. As a “home-grown product” I know the logistics of our company inside out and enjoy working with my team every day on the further optimisation of our supply chain processes.
